Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Errachidia Airport or hotel. Depart toward the Sahara, driving through the stunning Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and ancient ksars. Stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking the oasis and river below.

Continue to Erfoud, known for fossils and desert landscapes. Here, you may visit a local fossil workshop to learn about the region’s prehistoric history. Afterward, head to Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the desert floor.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the dunes at sunset. Arrive at your desert camp where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and an unforgettable night under the Saharan sky.

Overnight: Desert camp in Merzouga

After sunrise over the dunes, enjoy breakfast at the camp. Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert region by 4x4.

Visit a Gnawa village, where you’ll experience traditional spiritual music and learn about their African heritage. Continue to meet nomadic families living in the desert and gain insight into their daily life. Enjoy tea with locals in a traditional tent.

Later, stop by Khamlia village and have lunch before returning to Merzouga. The afternoon is free to relax, walk on the dunes, or try sandboarding.

In the evening, return to your hotel or riad near the dunes for dinner and rest.

Overnight: Hotel or riad in Merzouga

After breakfast, depart Merzouga toward Rissani, the former capital of the Tafilalt region. Visit its traditional souk, especially lively on market days, where locals trade livestock, spices, and crafts.

Continue through the Ziz Oasis, stopping for photos of the endless palm groves and ksars. In the afternoon, arrive back in Errachidia, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your 3 day desert tour from Errachidia to Merzouga.
