3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Fes

  • Your 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour starts with an early pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Drive through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for panoramic views and photos.

    Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Morocco’s most famous fortified village. After lunch, travel through Ouarzazate, known for its film studios and historic kasbahs, then follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley.

    • Driving distance: approx. 353 km

    • Driving time: approx. 6–7 hours

    • Overnight: Hotel or riad in Dades Valley

  • After breakfast, head toward Todra Gorge, a breathtaking canyon with towering limestone cliffs. Enjoy time to walk through the gorge and take photos.

    Continue through palm-filled oases and the town of Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates, before arriving in Merzouga. In the late afternoon, begin your camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, watching the sunset over the Sahara.

    Arrive at your desert camp for dinner, traditional Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

  • Wake up early to enjoy a magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga village and begin the journey toward Fes.

    Travel through the scenic Ziz Valley, passing thousands of palm trees and fortified villages. Continue via Midelt, located between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, then drive through the Middle Atlas, where you may spot Barbary macaques near Azrou’s cedar forests. Arrive in Fes in the evening and transfer to your hotel or riad.
