4-Day Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour itinerary

  • Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Depart toward southern Morocco, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where panoramic views and scenic photo stops await.

    Continue to the iconic Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its traditional earthen architecture and cinematic history. After exploring the ksar, drive to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert.

    Journey onward through the Skoura Oasis and the fragrant Valley of Roses, passing palm groves and traditional Berber villages before arriving in the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley.

    Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening surrounded by rugged canyon scenery.

    Enjoy free time to relax, walk among the dunes, or try optional activities such as sandboarding. As the day winds down, enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening near the Sahara.

  • After breakfast, depart the desert and head north toward Fes. Drive through the lush Ziz Valley, stopping at scenic viewpoints overlooking palm groves and river oases.

    Continue to Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, where you’ll stop for lunch. The journey continues through cedar forests, home to wild Barbary macaques.

    Stop briefly in Ifrane, often called the “Little Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and clean streets. In the late afternoon or evening, arrive in Fes, marking the end of your desert journey.
