3 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga

  • Your 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or riad. Travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), stopping to admire panoramic views and Berber villages.

    Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Morocco’s most famous fortified village. After lunch, drive through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” then follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley.

    • Driving distance: approx. 353 km

    • Driving time: approx. 6–7 hours

    • Overnight: Hotel or riad in Dades Valley

  • After breakfast, depart for the dramatic Todra Gorge, where massive canyon walls rise over 300 meters high. Enjoy free time to walk through the gorge and take photos.

    Continue through Erfoud, famous for fossils and date palms, before reaching Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, your Sahara experience truly begins with a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, timed perfectly for sunset.

    Arrive at your desert camp where you’ll enjoy dinner, Berber music, and a peaceful night beneath a star-filled sky.
