4 Days Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga

  • Depart from Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Stop to visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, famous for movies and TV shows. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” before heading to Dades Valley.
    Overnight in a traditional riad or hotel with dinner included.

    Driving time: ~6–7 hours

  • After breakfast, drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the impressive Todgha Gorge, with its towering canyon walls. Continue through palm-filled valleys and fossil towns like Erfoud. Arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll begin a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
    Enjoy sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a Sahara desert camp with dinner and Berber music.

  • Wake early to admire the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region by 4x4, visiting nomadic families, desert oases, and the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music.
    Return to Merzouga for overnight in a hotel near the dunes or in the desert camp.

  • After breakfast, travel through Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalt, and continue along the scenic Draa Valley, famous for its palm groves and kasbahs. Cross the High Atlas Mountains again and arrive in Marrakech in the evening, marking the end of your desert adventure.
